Purpose
The purpose of this project was the explore the relativity of time in empirical human concepts. While the concepts of space travel and time travel have dwelt heavily on the concept of relativity of time, it often seems like a make-belief principle because of its vastness. However, through extensive observation of human behavior, several questions came forth that demanded answers. And these questions led to several conclusions.

1. The average lifespan of a species dictates its perception of time (philosophically). For example, insects, on average only live for more or less than a year. And so their time is only relevant to survival activities. Humans on the other hand enjoy an average of 80+ years, and hence we indulge ourselves in activities that are non-essential to our survival. Humans tend to 'savor the moment', yet we are a short-lived species in comparison to some beasts, the celestial bodies, and the cosmic life itself.

2. This disparity in the perception of time dictates several human behaviors that have long term effects, beyond the time of humans. We perform actions like construction, plastic making, mining, etc to 'last us a lifetime' but what happens after that? Like the concept of Karma, what we do now, exists in the history of time forevermore. While this knowledge saves us from oblivion, we fail to realize many of our negative actions also leave echoes in the world long after we are gone. Everyday behavior like exploitation of available resources, capitalization of natural resources, and transforming natural objects into artificial products take a toll on the Earth for longer than we will be here to see.

3. To change this instantly gratifying behavior of humans, the relative nature of time needs to be put in perspective. By merging the past, the present and the future.
Result
To bring the past and the future together, I chose one man-made environment as the subject of my experience. The effects of time on this environment, specifically it's past, where it barely existed more than an idea to its future where it is no longer of use to humans. This is to show that all things that were meant to be, exist before they were born and persist. As a warning to human beings to choose their actions wisely and take in account their consequences. For a building may outlast the human race, and nature shall take over once again.

The environment of choice is a train station, a location that is purely artificial and frequented by many humans everyday.
